Welcome to the Two Congresses at Work!

Welcome to The Two Congresses at Work, a blog collectively authored by students in the Fall 2013 Muhlenberg College course, The U.S. Congress. Our goal in publishing this blog is to gain a deeper understanding of the ways in which Congress works (or fails to work) as a key institution of American government, and to better appreciate the responsibilities and roles of Member of Congress as they go about the work of governing and representing.

We begin our blog noting that Congress is both the most preeminent and least loved of our political institutions. It is our hope that in developing and publishing our ideas about Congress and its members, we will also develop a better appreciation for its complexity and significance in the American political process. Please join us in this endeavor!
