US Actions in Syria

While the country is concerned with domestic issues like elections, debates over issues with planned parenthood, gun control, and protests over civil rights issues, the government is faced with issues in the foreign affairs department. One of the most unstable of current foreign affairs is the dispute between Russia and Syria in connection to the Islamic State in Syria and ISIL-Islamic State of Iraq and Levant. The situation is hostile and has the potential to turn into a full on invasion by Russia into Syria. So what does this have to do with America? America has been attempting to fight back against the Islamic State in Syria by trying to train and help create rebel groups to stand up to Syria's "dictator," Bashar Al-Assad and ISIL. Recently America has changed their goals to trying to help currently established rebel groups and potentially lending American support. The latter would be very likely since Turkey is allowing American fighter jets to operate from their country. The ISIL, Assad, Syria/Russia dispute is very complicated and a very dangerous situation that could mean more warfare between America, Russia and Syria.
