Jeffrey John “Jeff” Denham is the U.S. Representative of California’s 10^th congressional district and a member of the Republican Party. Congressman Denham currently serves on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, National Resources Committee, and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Congressman Denham’s previous experiences have allowed him to not only take on responsibilities in his home district, but also serve the nations’ national interests. Having expertise in these areas of field, Congressman Jeff Denham work has attempted to improve our area of need in not only California, but also the United States. Additionally, Congressman Denham has been accused of a variety of violations dealing with prior campaigns as well as personal choices out of office. Its his response and reputation on Capital Hill that has allowed Jeff Denham to ultimately flourish as a congressman for California's 19th District constituents. 

Having been a member of the United States Air Force for 16 years, Congressman Denham has a grave understanding about the meaning of serving in our armed forces, putting ones life in harms way on a daily basis, and the importance of taking care of our veterans after their service is over. Serving on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Congressman Denham’s military experience has allowed him to gain an understanding that not many other congressman in Washington have when understanding veterans’ needs, whether that be psychologically, physically, financially, or socially.

After Jeff Denham’s military career, he ventured into the agricultural business where he began to gain a better understanding for the importance of sustaining a competitive agricultural production while increasing jobs for Americans. His private experience dealing in agricultural has allowed him to serve on the Natural Resources Committee, where he deals with fisheries, wildlife, mineral resources, land usage, and more. Having experience in the agricultural field prior to coming to Washington allows the residents of California as well as every American citizen to know a man leading the debate and policy about our natural resources is well qualified.

Lastly, Congressman Denham’s life experiences allow him to strive to make the best economic and practical decisions for our roads and infrastructure. His work on the transportation and infrastructure committee attempts to ultimately improve a failing sector of American society today, one that is ultimately crucial to the progression of our society. Improving the condition of our roads and infrastructure helps to create jobs and stimulate the economy, another contribution Congressman Jeff Denham strives to accomplish.

Although Representative Denham’s life experiences make him well qualified to represent his constituents of California’s 19^th district, his tenure as a Politian has not been without controversy. Throughout his campaign for the House of Representatives in 2010, Congressman Denham was accused of violating multiple laws that include illegally using a corporate jet , taking contributions in the form of non-commercial flights, and taking illegally transferred funds from his state Senate campaign to pay for electioneering communications featuring himself (Crew 1). He additionally has been accused of accepting corporate contributions prohibited in federal elections, including his House of Representative election (Crew 1). Along with political infractions, Congressman Denham has also been caught up in scandals involving nudity, skinny-dipping, in the Sea of Galilee over his time in Israel. Although denying the accusations over the misuse of funds, private transportation, and acts of nudity, Congressman Denham is no stranger to controversy, and something that has made him stronger on Capital Hill.   

Congressman Denham has been one of the most influential and well- respected congressman on the hill. Throughout his time in Washington, his stance and decision making on certain issues such as immigration has drawn praise from politicians and public officials. He has been to know to be a resilient politician, surviving a democratic- led recall as well as opponents who have had a bigger financial base in which to work. Congressman Jeff Denham has been a politician that has attempted to stand for the rights, beliefs, and wishes of his constituents of California’s 19^th District. His track record as well as his reputation thus far into his young Congressional career has been one that has been beneficial to everyone he serves, including every citizen of the United States of America.
