much ado about senator reid

Senator Reid tried to pass an extension of the debt limit within the house. It lost 53 to 45 the bid was blocked by Senate Republicans who felt that it was politically transparent. I don’t if its just me or just because the government have shut down and the Senator Reid is the party leader but it seems that Nevada and its voters are always sitting in the back seat. And by back seat I mean like in the 3rd row of a minivan even though all the other seats are taken. I know he is a Senator and less tied to the whims of the people who have voted him in to office, but it seems that his focus has shifted to maintaining the party line. Its hard to imagine how the framers would have seen this governmental shut down. I suppose next week will decide a lot for the future of America economically and potentially politically. My guess is that some kind of extension will get passed by congress on the debt limit, only because big business will start threatening congressmen by with holding campaign funding. I feel like a lot of people have lost political reputability and I guess only the upcoming elections will tell. [i]
