Run Hillary Run!

Run Hillary Run!
With more than two years still left to President Obama’s second term, who is going to run for the next election is already a hot topic. Some of the people looking to get the democratic nomination for the 2016 Presidential election include Vice President Joe Biden, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley. However, what most people are interested in right now is whether or not Hillary Clinton will take a second stab at the Presidency.

Senator Schumer knows it is never too early to start campaigning, and saw the perfect opportunity to start on Saturday while at an Iowa Democratic Party fundraiser in Des Moines for Hillary Clinton. While giving a speech, Schumer clearly stated his support for Clinton and urged her to run in the 2016 election. Stating,
"It's time for a woman to be president…And so tonight, here in Iowa, and I won't get this opportunity again, I am urging Hillary Clinton to run for president and, when she does, she will have my full and unwavering support."1
Schumer believes that it will be Clinton’s time in 2016 just like it was Obama’s time back in 2008 and that she can be the one to defeat Ted Cruz and other Tea Party Republicans in the election. Schumer has vowed to give Clinton his support and as we can see from previous instances in his career, like during the government shutdown, Schumer is good at sticking to his word and his party. While that might also be the result of Schumer being an active listener to his advisers  it is important for Schumer to maintain that image because it makes cases like this more credible. So as of now one thing can be certain, if Hillary Clinton decides to run for the 2016 Presidential election, Senator Schumer will have her back the entire way to the White House.
